HOME-SCHOOL COLLABORATION
CSSM has set up several methods of communication with parents in order to keep them abreast with the developments in school and of their child's perforamnce. Parent's are expected to participate in such activities to ensure problems or other situations may be adressed as soon as possible.
Parent-Teacher Conference -Teachers meet parents during issuance of cards. It is also an occasion for consultation so they may be able to draw the best out of the student/child by discussing the areas for improvement or the areas needed to sustain their child's achievements. Each parent will be assigned a date for consultation and are encouraged to be present in the said scheduled activity.
Student Handbook - Every student of SSM will be issued a handbook intended to remind them and to inform their parents of their quizzes and assignments. At the same time, it is also a means to notify the parents of any additional requirements, consultations and announcements that may arise during the school year. Owing to this, parents are required to read and sign the diary on a daily dasis to acknowledge the fact that they are aware of his/her child's daily learning experience in school. Parents whose signatures do not appear in the diary for 3 consecutive days will be notified by phone and some extent, will be requested to confer with the guidance counselor.
Independent Consultation - A parent who whishes to confer with the administration or teachers outside the scope of the aforementioned activities may do so by making an appointment (personally or through his/her child) with the Registrar's Office or the Office of the Principal. Parents are enjoined not to meet confer with any faculty or staff without approval of the Principal.
