ROSALIA SARINO MEMORIAL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION

The Rosalia Sarino Memorial Tuition scholarship is awarded to all incoming high school freshmen who graduated as either first and second honors from their respective schools. This scholarship only covers the tuition fee. A full tuition scholarship is awarded to all First Honors while a 50% tuition scholarship is awarded to Second Honors. Miscellaneous Fees and other charges are still to be paid by the student. This scholarship is good for school year provided that the student meets all the criteria for retention.

ELIGIBILTY

  1. S/he must be a graduating grade school student of any school.
  2. S/he must be the school's First Honor or Second Honor No scholarship is provided for honorable mentions.
  3. His/Her graduating class must consist of no less than 30 students to qualify.
  4. S/he must not be more than 14 years old upon reaching 1st year High School.
  5. S/he must obtain a score of at least 60% in the entrance examinations.
  6. Filipino citizen.

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

  1. NSO Birth Certificate (original)
  2. Certification from the principal of the previous school that the student is their First/Second Honor. The certification must also include the toal number of graduating students.
  3. Certifcate of good moral character from the Guidance Counselor.
  4. Test permit (Php 200.00 testing fee)

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process is very basic. Provided that the students fulfill all the above mentioned requirements, s/he will be given the scholarship automatically. There is no limit as to the number of students this scholarship will be granted.

RETENTION CRITERIA

If s/he was first honor in his previous school, s/he should remain first honor at SSM to continue to avail of the full tuition scholarship. Should s/he fall into the second honor position, s/he will be granted a 50% scholarship the following year. The full 100% tuition scholarship may only be regained when s/he has successfully received the first honor award. Similarly, those granted with a 50% tuition discount at the start of the school year may continue to receive the same amount in the subsequent school years if s/he maintains the second honor position. If s/he falls to the first honor position s/he will only be granted a 25% discount on tuition . In case this student receives the first honor award, the scholarship will remain at 50% of tuition fee.

FAILURE

Should a student fail to meet the criteria as specified in the preceding section, his/her scholarship will be permanently terminated and as such as s/he will be obligated to pay the tuition and miscellaneous fees just like any other student.

 

SIBLING DISCOUNT PROGRAM (FAQ)

1.  Who can avail of this program?

      All families with more than one child studying at CSSM regardless of the year level.

HONOR DISCOUNT PROGRAM (FAQ) 

1. Who can avail of this program?

      This discount is different from the Dr. Rogelio R. Garcia Scholarship Program in the sense that it is granted  to all annual academic excellence awardees from Grade 1 to 5 and from 1st year to 3rd year high school only.

 

2. How does the discount work?

  •    This is a fixed rate discount for annual academic excellence awardees.

  •     If a student already receives another type of discount she/he can only avail the higher discount as  she/he chooses.

  •    Those under the Dr. Rogelio R Garcia Scholarship Program  cannot be part of this program
