Hardware System Requirements for MS Office 365

Since Grades 4-12 will be using MS Teams under the MS Office 365 suite, the following are the basic system requirements for Laptop and Desktop Computers:

Window OS: Intel core i3-4130, i5-4670 or i7 -4900mq

MacOS: Intel processor

MEMORY

Window OS: 8gb Ram (recommended)

MacOS: 4gb Ram

STORAGE

Window OS: 4 gb of available disk space

MacOS: 10 gb of available disk space

DISPLAY

Window OS: 1280x768 screen resolution

MacOS: 1280x800 screen resolution

GRAPHICS

Window OS: Graphics hardware acceleration requires Direct x 9 or later, with WDDM 2.0 or higher for window 10.

MacOS: No graphics requirements

OPERATING SYSTEM

Window OS: Window 10 SAC (64Bit)

Windows 8.1 (64bit)

MacOS: One of the three most recent versions of macOS

BROWSER

Current version of Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari, Brave, Chrome or Firefox

VIDEO CALLS AND MEETINGS

For a better experience with video calls and online meetings, we recommend usign a computer that has a 2.0 GHz processor and 4 GB Ram (or higher)

MS Teams require a USB 2.0 video camera, a microphone/headseat and an audio output device in order to utilize its full range of calling and meeting features. Specification listed is sufficient to run other teleconferencing applications such as ZOOM.
